Apply for leave

When you have leave balance for a leave type, you can apply for leave. It will be sent to the appropriate colleagues for approval. Once submitted, you can check your past leave requests for its status.

Some leave types (e.g., maternity leave) will require you to apply for leave credits first, before you can request for leave days. You can tell what type of leave by checking the leave balance.

To apply for leave:

  • On your mobile device, open the SeaTalk app.
  • At the bottom, tap Workspace
  • Tap Leave Application.
  • At the bottom, tap Apply for Leave.
  • Select a leave type.
  • At the Leave Date field, tap Select. In the calendar, tap your first date, then your last date. At the bottom, select if you’re taking AM or PM leave. Once done, tap Done.
  • Enter the purpose of the leave if you want.
  • Tap the + icon to attach any supporting documents (e.g., if you’re on medical leave, attach the medical certification).
  • Tap Apply for Leave. Your leave request will be submitted and you can see it on the Leave Application screen.
