Allow others to join your chat group via QR code or a link.

If you cannot find the Group QR Code option, the group owner has disabled members from sharing the group.

Please note: the generated QR code has a validity date stated below it. Once the date passes, the QR code cannot be used to join the group any longer.

Mobile

• On your mobile device, open the SeaTalk app.
• Tap the chat group you want to share.
• Tap Group QR Code.

• A QR code will be generated. You can view how long it is valid below the QR code.
• To save the QR code as an image, tap Save as Image. You can then share the QR code with others to let them join.
• To share it with a SeaTalk contact, tap Share QR Code.
• To share a link with a SeaTalk contact, tap Share Link.
• If the contacts you want have joined, you can cancel the QR code by tapping the … icon in the upper right and tapping Invalidate all shared QR code.

Desktop

• In the SeaTalk desktop application, click the chat group you want to share.
• In the upper right, click the … icon.
• In the right panel, click the QR code next to Share Group.

• A QR code will be generated. You can view how long it is valid below the QR code.
• To save the QR code as an image, click Save as Image. You can then share the QR code with others to let them join.
• To share it with a SeaTalk contact, click Share QR Code.
• To share a link with a SeaTalk contact, click Share Link.
• If the contacts you want have joined, you can cancel the QR code by clicking Invalidate Shared QR code/link.
